Prof. Dr. Alamsyah, S.S., M.Hum. is a Professor of Socio-Economic History at Diponegoro University. He completed his doctoral studies at Padjadjaran University. He also serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at Diponegoro University. Some of his works published in reputable international journals include “Work like a Javanese, worship like an Acehnese: The transformation of social reality and identity among Javanese migrants in Aceh, Indonesia” and “Between Maritime Tradition and Violence on the Sea: Local Response to the European Expansion in Indonesia.” His published book is titled Migration, Diaspora, and Bugis Pirates.
