Aslama Nanda Rizal

Aslama Nanda Rizal, S.Sej., M.Hum. is a lecturer in the History Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, at Diponegoro University, Semarang. His research interests include political history, intellectual history and thought, ideology, global and transnational studies, diplomacy and international relations, as well as education. Among the courses he has taught are East Asian and South Asian History, Military History, Historical Journalism, and European History. Some of his published books include Marhaenism in Sukarno’s Intellectual Thought, Bung Karno as Headmaster: Educational Thought and National Education Policies during the Guided Democracy Era 1959–1965, Bung Karno and Asmara Hadi: The Ideological Connection Between Teacher and Student, Revisiting Jakarta–Moscow (co-authored with students), and Military History and World Revolutions (co-authored with students). Several of his scholarly articles have been published in international journals, including “Indonesian Nationalism in Suriname: The Javanese Political Movement 1946–1954” in Cogent Arts & Humanities, “Russia Participation in Indonesian Maritime Sector” in Forum of Young Scientist, and “Jiran yang Terlupa: Tinjauan Sejarah Diplomasi Maritim Indonesia–Palau” in Jurnal Maritim Asia Tenggara. He has also contributed as a writer and compiler for several major publications, including the Encyclopedia of Indonesian History published by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, the book History of Muhammadiyah in Indonesia published by the Muhammadiyah Central Board, and The Study of the Spice Route and Silk Road of Semarang City published by the Semarang City Office of Culture and Tourism.
