Dr. Haryono Rinardi, M. Hum., is an Associate Professor in the field of Socio-Economic History at Diponegoro University. He earned his doctoral degree from Gadjah Mada University, where he successfully defended his dissertation entitled Credit for the People: Banking Credit Policies for Small and Medium Enterprises, 1904–1990. His specialization is the history of public credit banking. One of his published books, A Bleak Portrait of Rural and Agrarian Indonesia: A Socio-Historical Sociology Review, has become a major reference in the study of socio-economic history in rural Java. The book was co-authored with Singgih Tri Sulistiyono and Yety Rochwulaningsih. Between 2016 and 2017, he conducted research on inter-island trade within the context of Indonesia’s economic integration. He has also published numerous articles in both national and international academic journals.
