Pak Jihan

Dr. Rabith Jihan Amaruli, S.S., M. Hum. is an academic and history researcher active at Diponegoro University, particularly in the Department of History at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences. He is known as a lecturer and researcher who has extensively studied the history of identity, nationalism, Islam in the Indonesian archipelago, and the socio-cultural dynamics of Indonesian society. Rabith Jihan Amaruli has published numerous scholarly publications in history and humanities journals. Some of his studies address Arab-Hadrami identity in Indonesia, the Chinese Muslim community in Kudus, and the history of the Walisanga missionary movement in Java. His research often utilizes a social and cultural history approach to understand the formation of modern Indonesian identity. In addition to his active writing, he is also involved in academic and community service activities. In 2018, he ran a history and culture-based community service program in Pati Regency to develop religious tourism and preserve local history. On campus, Rabith is also active as a moderator for history seminars and workshops, including discussions on the history of diplomacy and Islamic identity in Southeast Asia. In the most recent academic document of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, he is listed as the Secretary of the History Study Program.
