Dewi Afriani Lubis, the program coordinator, opened the session by explaining how people in the past took care of the environment and valued their possessions. The children were encouraged to understand the importance of tidying up their stationery and managing used items so that they would not end up in the trash. In addition, the students also introduced the concept of creativity by teaching how to make pencil holders from used materials such as plastic bottles, cardboard, and used paper. They were encouraged to use their imagination and apply unique ideas in designing their own pencil holders.

With great enthusiasm, the children began creating pencil holders according to their own imaginations. The parents of each child assisted in the creation of the pencil holders to facilitate the process. Nadia, a student at Aisyiyah Kebagusan Kindergarten, said happily, “I am happy to learn how to organize my stationery and make pencil cases from used materials.” This program not only provides an understanding of the importance of organizing stationery, but also teaches the importance of creativity in reducing plastic waste. The children at Aisyiyah Kebagusan Kindergarten learn to be more aware and responsible for their surroundings.

The principal of Aisyiyah Kebagusan Kindergarten, Mrs. Imun, said, “We hope that through this activity, children can become agents of change who care about the environment. Educating them on tidying up their stationery and creating pencil holders from recycled materials are small but important steps in creating a more conscious and sustainable generation.” With a spirit of togetherness and a high enthusiasm for learning, the monodisciplinary history program at Aisyiyah Kebagusan Kindergarten successfully provided a valuable educational experience for the students. They left this activity with pride because they had contributed to protecting the environment through their creativity and concrete actions.
